The Protege Center partners with Schools for SiSi

An ancient saying states "train up a child in the way he should grow and when he is old, he would no depart from it". This seems to be the view shared by the organisers of SISI (Scrabble In School Initiative) as they strongly believe that the best approach at redeeming Nigeria's' ailing education crisis is by Catching Them Young(CTY).

The Scrabble in School Initiative(SiSi) partners with schools in Lagos and across Nigeria to train primary and secondary school students on the board game called Scrabble. Scrabble helps the individual to develop his Vocabulary, Logic as well as arithmetic skills.

According to the Principal Facilitator Mr. Kelechi Chioma [who doubles as the Chief Executive of The Protege Center] it is their belief at SiSi that if education is mixed with fun, children would be more interested in learning while enjoying themselves at the same time. By so doing, inculcate the discipline of sitting to study and research from a young age and maintaining such paths and discipline as they mature into adulthood wouldn't be seen as burdensome or difficult.

Apart from Scrabble In School Initiative(SiSi), The Protege Center also facilitates the Winifred Awosika Scrabble Tournament
